Pass/Fail Courses

  • Are there courses that I can take for credit toward my degree that are not figured into my GPA?

The grades from courses you take at other institutions do not affect your UA grade point average. The units will transfer to the UA as long as you earn at least a "C" in the course and it is transferable credit. The grades, however, will not. If the class you are taking is to be used for general education, and for assistance with questions about probation, please see an advisor at the Freshman Year Center. If the class is to be used for your major or your minor, please see your major advisor. Classes taken pass/fail, internships, independent studies, correspondence courses and those taken through the Extended University are also on the list of courses which count for credit by do not influence your GPA.
