SBS Magellan Circle Dinner

Please join us for the sixth annual Magellan Circle Celebration on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 6-8:30 p.m.

The Magellan Circle, named for the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, is the College’s fundraising society, which endeavors to expand opportunities for students and faculty.

The event will be held in the Tucson Room of the Arizona Inn, and will include remarks by Anthropology Professor Mary Stiner, a 2008 Magellan Circle Earl H. Carroll Fellow; Communication undergraduate Nicholas Wilson, a 2008 Magellan Circle Scholar; and Steve Lynn, a Magellan Circle founding member. The event will also include remarks by UA President Robert N. Shelton and Executive Vice President and Provost Meredith Hay. SBS will also be presenting the first-ever Faculty Fundraising Award and Outstanding Service Award.

Cost is $100 per person ($50 is tax-deductible).
