Join us for the launch event of the 2020-21 State of the Tucson Food System Report. The authors will present an overview of the report followed by an open discussion and Q&A with three panelists who contributed to the report. This year's report draws upon 8 months of qualitative research regarding the impacts of COVID-19 on the local food system in southern Arizona. The overarching goal of the study is to gain an understanding of COVID-19’s impacts on food and agriculture in our region to support the development of a local food system that is more resilient to social, economic, and environmental stressors and disruptions. The research project is a collaboration between the Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) and the Center for Regional Studies at the University of Arizona.
