Johnson will read from her most recent collection, The Reckonings, which draws from philosophy, art, literature, mythology, anthropology, film, and other fields, as well as her own personal experience of sexual violence, to consider how our ideas about justice might be expanded beyond vengeance and retribution to include acts of compassion, patience, mercy, and grace. The reading will include a Q&A with the author and will be followed by a book signing.
