Declaring Your Major or Minor

Did you know that current University of Arizona students can start the process for declaring an SBS major or minor online? Follow the links below for declaring a program with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. If you are an incoming student, you can change your major through the UA Next Steps website: https://nextsteps.arizona.edu/.

General - Advising Drop-In Hours (January 16 - May 5, 2026) No drop in hours Tuesday, March 10 or Friday March 13 (Spring break)

April is a busy time for advising as current UA students are enrolling for Summer and Fall term classes. Students can meet with an Advisor for the SBS College at our additional Drop-In Advising Hours in April, see details below.

    • Monday, April 6: 11am-1pm, and 2pm-4pm
    • Thursday, April 9: 11am-1pm, and 2pm-4pm

Arizona Online students can contact an SBS Online Advisor for academic needs while moving through their online programs. Main Campus students can connect with SBS Online Advisor if they are interested in moving from the Main Campus to Arizona Online.
