Laurie Galbraith

Laurie is a writer with roots in humanitarian work and comes from Portland, OR. She has a B.S. in International Studies (Middle East) from Portland State University and an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon. Before coming to the SBS Marketing & Communications team, Laurie worked as the marketing and communications coordinator for a publisher in Boulder, CO. She also served as a writer and managing editor for The Scholar magazine at the University of Oregon. She wrote on student and faculty research, programming, medicine, technology, and climate change. Laurie’s experience in writing ranges from individual profiles, newsletters, feature stories, and long-form pieces.
