Julia Blumberg
Julia Blumberg serves as recruitment coordinator for the College of Social
and Behavioral Sciences, where she manages the recruitment and
enrollment efforts for over 30 academic programs. Her background includes
teaching Spanish and Journalism at the University of Arizona and producing
audio stories. She published an audio story with Arizona Public Media about
“The Migrant Quilt Project” – a collaborative effort of artists, quiltmakers, and
activists commemorate the names of migrants who have perished
attempting to cross the U.S. / Mexico border.
In previous roles, Julia has successfully organized outreach events and
collaborating with high school teachers and students. She enjoys helping
students discover their passion and choose the best fit for their college
journey with confidence. Julia holds a B.A. in International Relations and
Spanish from High Point University, and a dual M.A in Bilingual Journalism
and Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona. She also studied
abroad in Spain. In her free time, Julia enjoys photography, spending time
with her friends and family, playing Magic the Gathering, and reading books.
