Care, Health, and Society Major Lauren Taylor Shines as Poverty Policy Research Fellow, Uncovering Insights on Low-Income Housing in Pima County
Lauren Taylor — a junior majoring in Care, Health and Society, and Public Health — is a Poverty Policy Research Fellow, a unique opportunity through the Tucson Poverty Project (a community study through the University of Arizona), directed by Professor of Sociology, Brian Mayer.
Before Taylor spent the semester identifying shortcomings surrounding low-income housing issues in Pima County, she wrote this op-ed for the Arizona Daily Star while participating in the Poverty in Tucson Field Workshop. As part of her independent research project, Taylor published a three-part series on poverty and evictions in the Tucson Daily Agenda.
