Danielle Hermosillo
Danielle Hermosillo is a sophomore at the University of Arizona pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Care, Health & Society. She discovered her passion for Occupational Therapy through three years of caregiving experience, and she fell in love with the field’s ability to help people regain independence and improve their quality of life. One of the biggest reasons Danielle chose to pursue OT is the lack of Hispanic representation in the field, particularly in Arizona, where the majority of the population is Hispanic. She hopes to be a role model for future Hispanic occupational therapists and increase access to culturally informed care. Beyond her academic pursuits, Danielle is actively involved on campus and in her community. She is a member of the PSI CHI Honor Society, a Young Life leader for a local nonprofit, and serves as the Admin and Outreach Intern at Flowers & Bullets, a nonprofit organization. Danielle also volunteers at her local church, helping support programs and initiatives that strengthen her community. As an SBS Student Ambassador, Danielle is excited to serve as a guide and resource for prospective and current students and help students navigate academic and campus opportunities. When she isn’t busy with school or work, Danielle enjoys playing golf, hanging out with friends, hiking, and watercoloring.
