Emma LaPointe

Emma LaPointe serves as an ambassador for SBS, representing the School of Journalism. She is also majoring in Political Science and German Studies. She is a junior at the University of Arizona and a Tucson native. Emma became an ambassador to connect with like-minded students and to share the sense of community it has created with prospective students. Emma is also the President of the J-School Student Council, Managing Editor for the Daily Wildcat, and a reporter for Tucson Spotlight. Emma has also studied abroad in Leipzig, Germany, where she explored different cultures and political atmospheres. She chose her majors due to her innate interest in learning more about the world and helping others. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to pursue a degree in International Law with a focus on human rights. Beyond school, Emma loves escaping to San Diego, competing in powerlifting competitions, and going on runs through Disneyland.
