Robert Burns
Robert Burns is the Senior Associate Director of Development for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, where he builds relationships with alumni and supporters to advance the college's priorities and impact. After graduating from Miami University, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he worked as an eighth-grade social studies teacher and baseball coach before transitioning into nonprofit fundraising. His development experience spans wildlife conservation, children's mental health, and higher education, shaping a collaborative approach to fundraising centered on mission, relationships, and long-term impact.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys hiking, cheering on the Detroit Red Wings, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and family pets. He is proud to support the mission of SBS and its commitment to understanding people, strengthening communities, and creating positive change in the world.
