Laureana Benitez
Laureana Benitez serves as Internship Coordinator for the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, currently serving the School of Government and Public Policy (SGPP). In this role, Laureana acts as a liaison between employers and students for internship and post-graduate opportunities. As an Internship Coordinator and Course Instructor, Laureana teaches a career-preparation course equipping students with professional skills and workplace etiquette. Additionally, she advocates for students to receive hands-on, experiential learning opportunities to improve post-graduate job outcomes.
Laureana is a double Wildcat and holds an undergraduate degree in Law and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Arizona. Her professional background includes felony trial experience with the Pima County Attorney's Office, Major Crimes Unit, and career development for the James E. Rogers College of Law. She is skilled in project management, legal procedures, and measuring outcomes.
Outside of work, Laureana enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, reading, and aerial workouts.
