Mike Remedi
Mike is a proud Wildcat and excited to join the national alumni advisory board. He graduated with both a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology in 1996.
After graduate school at Texas A&M University where he received his Master of Science in Medical Science, Mike wanted a new career direction and was given an amazing opportunity to return to the U of A and help raise $14M in support of the capital campaign for the new Student Union Memorial Center. He considers that role at his alma mater to have been the most fun of his entire career. He then spent the next 22 years working at universities, helping them raise money in support of strategic initiatives.
Soon after receiving his MBA in 2020, Mike decided to leave the higher education world and accepted a position as the inaugural Chief Development Officer at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. He is building a new philanthropic model for the Garden, focusing on sustained annual and major gift support.
Mike has volunteered his time on various boards for the City of Phoenix as well as the LGBT+ communities in Arizona. He and his husband, John, live in central phoenix and hope their daughter will be another Wildcat in the family one day.
