Malika Tuychiboeva

Malika Tuychiboeva is an international student from Uzbekistan and a senior in the University of Arizona’s School of Government & Public Policy, majoring in Public Policy & Management with a minor in Business Administration. An SBS Ambassador and The Washington Center alumna, she has engaged with policymakers in Washington, D.C. This fall, Malika is interning with Arizona List, a statewide organization that recruits, trains, and helps elect pro-choice Democratic women to public office. She is a Mo’s Policy Scholar at the Udall Center, and volunteers as a research analyst with One Nexus Group. She is also the Coordinator for WAYU in the U.S., advancing student leadership and community engagement. On campus, she founded and leads the Uzbek Student Association. Her current research centers on empowering women’s leadership in Uzbekistan, examining pathways into decision-making roles and practical strategies—mentorship, organizational policy, and governance reforms—that help women advance in public institutions. She is also developing a national Uzbekistan Summer Policy & Professional Study Program for Spring 2026 to expand career pathways for Uzbek undergraduates. Malika aims to work in international development and policy analysis, advancing inclusive governance and equitable institutions.
