Welcome to the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences

We are thrilled for you to become a Wildcat in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS), the academic college that houses your major of interest! In the College of SBS, we study people and their connections with each other and the world. Together, we advance interdisciplinary solutions to societal problems.

As an SBS student, you will receive a broad-based liberal arts education and engage in hands-on learning. You will cultivate skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and technology – skills that last a lifetime and are in demand by employers!

Internships

An internship can help you explore your career interests, gain the skills you'll need for future jobs, and build your professional network. Internships are just one opportunity to fulfill your Skill Up course requirement, along with study abroad, research, or a career-prep course. In SBS, we help you apply what you’ve learned in your major and gain the hands-on experience you need to launch your career after graduation!

Get involved with innovative research projects by reaching out to your professors. Check out research by Linguistics major Adrian in the Douglass Phonetics Lab and Anthropology major Paige in the Laboratory for the Evolutionary Endocrinology of Primates (LEEP). Explore SBS research.

Ambassador Program

Our student ambassadors are a select group of undergraduate students who build community and interest in SBS majors, programs, and engagement opportunities. You may meet our friendly ambassadors if you connect with SBS during a campus tour, attend a recruiting event, or at one of our many events connecting SBS to the greater Tucson community. SBS In-Person information sessions are available on Fridays at 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. SBS is also hosting two virtual options in Spring 2026:
