News stories are controlled by the "News" content type.
Add a News Item
- Sign into the site
- From the black menu bar at the top choose “Content” (might need to click on Manage first)
- Click on the Add Content button
- From the lists of types of content, choose “News”
- Add headline under "Title"
- Optional: Add byline credit
- Change date of publication if you want different date than today (stories appear in date order with newest first)
- Optional: Add representative image. This will appear on the story and the news listing page. Image size must be at least 568x426 pixels.
- Put the bulk of the story under "Article Body" If there are subheadings mark them as Heading 3. See other areas of this guide for adding images and formatting text.
- Save!
Note: News tags can be used to pull stories of a particular type into their own display (e.g. all stories about research). Submit a ticketdog request for help creating this functionality.
